Neuroscience Information Framework

The Neuroscience Information Framework is a dynamic inventory of Web-based neuroscience resources: data, materials, and tools accessible via any computer connected to the Internet. An initiative of the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research, NIF advances neuroscience research by enabling discovery and access to public research data and tools worldwide through an open source, networked environment.

NIF takes contributions of data (mail: curation@neuinfo.org), data source descriptions in the registry (a catalog of over 5000 neuroscience-related sites http://neuinfo.org/cindy.php), and vocabulary content (http://neurolex.org). NIF is a free and open community, join our mailing list and/or get your custom literature feed and you are a member (http://www.neuinfo.org/mynif/login.php).

If you would like to place the NIF Navigator on your site to conveniently retrieve NIF search results, download the code here.
